A look back on 2018

Dear Clients and Friends of King & Partners,

First of all Happy Holidays from the whole team!

Once again, 2018 has been an excellent year of steady growth, expansion of services, great new clients and the addition of talented team members.

When Inii and I founded this business in 2010, we knew we would start as a digital agency focused on fashion and luxury. However, we had loftier goals—our vision was to evolve into an agency that could deliver branding, strategy, and content in both digital and print for exceptional brands. Today, I am extremely proud to say that the mission has been accomplished.

Of course, we still have a strong passion for launching eCommerce sites for our fashion clients, but we are doing much more than that now. Our in-house strategists are working on positioning brands that range from start-ups to legacy companies over a hundred years old. Our best-in-class creative team, headed by Creative Director Inii Kim, is designing brand identities, print collateral/brochures, directing film and photo shoots, as well as creating uniquely brilliant and effective digital/UX work. Our in-house technology teams are challenging themselves with a clever and thoughtful approach to technology; we are guiding many brands in the build-out of robust platforms. Our foray into Shopify continues to have gains with many launches in 2018, and our own Sellect eCommerce platform continues to perform well. Our account management team has expanded allowing us to become extremely proactive in our thinking and we are delivering projects on time and on budget.

As expected with this type of growth we find ourselves in need of a new home. We are moving in March 2019 to a beautiful new HQ. Please look out for an invite to our new home in the spring.

One of the highlights of 2018 has been our largest project to date for the Auberge Resorts Collection. We won this highly competitive pitch 12 months ago, and have entirely evolved the branding, content, and digital for this ever-expanding group of beautiful hotels; be on the lookout for a case study in the new year.

King & Partners is well-known for working with some of the most notable luxury brands in the world.
 However, we also really love working with start-ups and early-stage brands. We’ve launched many new
 businesses across multiple categories this year, and we’ve enjoyed learning about new ideas, hone strategies,
 establish positioning and create the most beautiful and effective brand identities.

Our strategic partnership with Hearst continues to flourish, and our clients are experiencing solid performance thanks to their digital marketing and data.

Last but not least, ‎we are expanding our eCommerce Management services in 2019. More brands entrust us to take on the role of eCommerce Managers to run their digital business; this is an exciting growth area for us.

So, we have gotten into a unique position: King & Partners is a company that can create a brand, design everything around it, launch the eCommerce site, then market and run it—in essence we’ve become THE go-to creative and technology agency to launch a brand.
